Lets Get Moving

An award of £15,375 from the LEADER in Fife Programme helped the 83rd Fife Scout Group buy a new 17-seater multi-purpose minibus, available for users in West Fife Villages.

Now West Fife Villages have a community transport solution, with exciting opportunities ahead. The minibus will be used to train young volunteers as drivers. It will operate as a self-drive hire facility for local groups. When static, it will double as an interesting information base with a DVD player installed, accessible for all age groups.

Transport in the villages is a major issue for local groups. Already the local Youth Clubs, Youth Theatre group, football teams, bowling clubs and Chinese Community plus many sections of local Scout and Guide Groups have used the minibus.  It has been welcomed by all these local organisations. It is a positive development in helping to bring communities together to participate in a range of activities across West Fife Villages.  The bus can be booked on www.83rdscouts.org.uk
